Weekly Debate 49 [Greatest Threat Today to World Peace and Safety]

We have quite a few members on board now and its obvious that there are differing political opinions.

Maybe [ I hope ] some of you would like to post your opinions to the following poll question

Who do you feel is the greatest threat to world saftey today?

You can either tic the enclosed poll or add your own by tic-ing other and answering in a post.

I think this would be an interesting subject.

Off hand, I can think of a few, namely :-
1) America, with it's ever urging need to fuel its economy through war.
2) Human Beings.
3) Industries.

Interesting poll, I agree with Jaggernaut, however certainly pollution, starvation and disease which have been caused by regional governments are also major problems that can lead to regional safety issues and instability, like in Africa

On a global scale BB Bush sees himself as a global white knight and thinks that he is correct in what he is doing. The reality is that he has created divisions between the west and the Islam world which will be hard to break for many many years. We have even seen a rift developing with Russia, something not seen for years. A quick change in the US leader ship is what is needed to help with Global Security and World Peace. The US has an economy that is geared for the military and wars, with them things work nicely, with out them the US needs to pick fights to justify military expenditure

RE: Weekly Poll 24 [Greatest Threat Today to World Peace and Safety]

excuse me but I don't think "management" is correct in this defamation of the USA. While I don't blindly support Bush I have to say it wasn't Bush who set the Muslim world on its path of of total destuction of any one and any thing that is not Islam.
These blood thirsty maniacs have had a vendetta against evrything western and any thing remotly connected to capitalism.

A lot of countries like to take a hit at the USA but when some body steps on their toes real hard guess who they call. Then all of a sudden USA is not so bad and they will let american young men shed their blood for them as they did in the past.
As long as their are Muslims in this world there will be war, because nobody can live with , that is not a muslim, and for me personally I'd rather be dead then bow to muslim bul----..
