The presence of blackheads, small cysts and scars is called acne. It is unsightly spots on neck, face, cheeks, forehead, back, shoulder and chest.

It occurs because of hormonal imbalance which takes place at the onset of puberty. When human adolescence begins, the activity of glands increases which causes the sebaceous glands to secrete a larger amount of oil which lubricates the skin and this clogs the pores causing acne. A person should wash his face regularly with plain water about 4-5 times a day.

Their dark appearance is because of the densely packed skin cells, which leads to black color. Hence blackheads are formed in this way. Because of blackheads the pores get blocked and oil glands get affected resulting in pimples.

Whiteheads are the small, pearly, white raised spots. They are the collection of sebum and keratin that plugs the opening of skin pore. They are caused due to due to excessive secretion of sebum oil.

Their tips do not get darkened because unlike blackheads the clogged grease is not exposed to air, so oxidation does not takes place. Whiteheads appear in the area where skin is delicate and fine which is mostly under the eyes.

The term eczema is said to the reaction pattern in the skin which can be either acute and can happen because of number of causes. The skin becomes red, rash, itchy and causes blisters. Scales appear on the skin. Eczema can appear on any part of the body and can happen to anyone. It happens when the skin is dry or oily.
