Rumours of revolt to topple Pakistan govt total nonsense!

NEW YORK: President General Pervez Musharraf has said that there was no revolt to topple Pakistan government and the unprecedented power outage in the country was not linked to coup at all.

“Pakistan is not a banana republic and rumours about overthrowing of Pakistan government is a nonsense, total nonsense,” he said while talking to newsmen after his medical check up at Texas.

“ Such changes do not necessarily require power breakdown,” he added.

The president said that he had talked to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz about the power breakdown in detail and directed him to solve the energy crisis at its earliest, so that masses could be saved by any further aggravated.

Power supply has been restored to 80 percent areas of the country and soon the power would be restored in the remaining areas, he said.

The President said that he was in good health and had undergone a mild checkup, while strongly refuting all the rumors spread about his health.

This coup theory seems to have sprung from Musharraf`s recent revelations about the U.S. allegedly threatening him which he spoke about on TV.
