Has anybody tried the Rosetta Stone Method for learning Thai?
I am thinking about getting the Rosetta Stone solfware for learning The Thai languge. Is it any Good or just a waste of money? I already Know some Thai and found that most online thai languge programs are mostly for Basic thai. are there any good ones out there?

RE: Rosetta Stone

Hi skipvice, I have not heard of the Rosetta Stone Method, I mainly used http://www.thai-language.com/ to learn Thai. I also found the following book very helpful

Thai for Beginners (Paperback)
by Benjawan Poomsan Becker (Author)

RE: Rosetta Stone

Rosetta Stone is great for expanding vocabulary, but not so much with conversation and grammar. I have tried only the first couple of Rosetta Stone Thai lessens and found some of the pictures they use a little confusing since it isn't always obvious what word they are trying to teach you. Another software package that's good for developing conversational Thai is Pimsleur. I think if you search on Amazon you can find reviews of both.
