Thanks for the introduction admin. I am really excited to be here at the start of a new Forum, and I really like the concept.
I have been involved in making money online since 1999, and just like all newbies, I made all the mistakes you can imagine. Don't know why I kept going except for sheer determination, curiousity and continual search for facts and information, plus I started finding people I could trust and started making up my losses.
Previously I posted that I have gone full circle in exploring the various money making opps, not to be confused with going in circles. Tongue
Among other things, I can tell you that a few years ago, any program with a high return was and still is considered high risk, and newbies were taken by 'greed' and lost again and again. Veterans in the HYIP community wouldn't participate and were rightfully critical.
However, the most recent trend seems to be that the "admins" of these programs now call them what they are - GAMES - and people who get in early can do quite well. There is a strategy to playing these games, as I have learned after studying them. There are strategies to everything you do in learning the ropes in money making opps. Sharing information is one of the very best ways to develop yours.
I would like to see 'sub' folders in this Folder for the various "games" and the other categories that F1 mentioned, as interest and membership grows.

In order to make money investing in any money making online opportunity, (HYIPs, MLMs, Autosurfers, matrixes...) there are rules and strategies that should be addressed and constantly considered to improve your chances for success.

1. Never spend more than you can afford to lose. NEVER SPEND MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. Don't spend the rent or mortgage, the milk money or the kid's money. Don't borrow, and don't take a cash advance from your Credit Card.
2. Always recover your initial spend as soon as possible. Some programs offer the choice of compounding, which also allows you to accelerate your earnings and your principle spend faster. While this is true, it also locks in your money, and creates what is known as "virtual money". This means that it is not your money until it is withdrawn and back in your account. If you choose to compound, always know how long your money is locked in, and when you can withdraw it. Calculate how long it will take to reach profit whether or not you are using compounding. (http://www.freehyipcalculator.com)
3. Don't let "greed" determine which program you are going to spend to or influence respending again into the same program. Higher returns = higher risk.
4. Decide wisely what to do with your profit. Once you have w/d your principle spend, then you are using "their" money (or YOUR PROFITS), to either reinvest a portion into the same program, same program different investment plan if applicable, different program all together, or KEEP IT. The reason you invest is to make profit afterall.
5. Remember that 95-99% of online money making opps are SCAMS. They may pay for awhile to build reputation, members and trust, but eventually fail or dash with the cash, or hacked and have their account funds "stolen". This is why you always take care of rule #2.
6. Due to rule # 5, be prepared to lose sometimes. It is inevitable and always should be used as a lesson learned.
7. DIVERSIFY. See Rules 5 & 6. Don't have all your expendible money in one program or you risk losing it all if the program fails. It is wise to take profits and invest in another program. Also diversify the number of low, med and high risk programs you have in your portfolio.
8. Due Diligence. Find people, forums and blogs that you trust and interact. PM people, post to forums, subscribe to blogs. I've had many people PM me and ask if I will mentor them, usually because they have quickly learned how to be scammed. It is a great responsibility and duty. Learn how to 'check out' a program. This can be very involved because it includes everything: the host, the IP address, the registrant, the physical location of the program and admin, proof of how the program claims to make a return and how long its been operating.
9. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for spending to a program. Don't blame the person who may have referred you to it. REFER TO RULE # 5.
10. Keep Records! Use a spreadsheet or learn how to use one. If you are seriously trying to make money with online opps, it is useful to be able to refer back to what you spent, when, to what program (egold or other currency #) and your returns. Egold makes this fairly easy to do by allowing you to sort by egold #, or date, what you have received and what you have spent, and download this into a .csv file which you can import into Excel. From there it is up to you to organize your data in a method that lets you see how you are doing. Once you know your results, you see the reality of your profits and losses. At the beginning, this may be 'grim information', but as you go onward, it's very useful to have this reality check.

There are many other rules you will learn and develop on your own as you push forward, if you push forward. Some people easily burnout by losses or because they are not risk takers afterall. There are still the bank rates ... and for some people, at the end of the day, between profits and losses, you may have done no better than that. REFER to RULE # 10.

Hope this helps!

Some fine pearls of wisdom there, grateful. Many thanks. Big Grin

Hopefully by applying those words a number of potential `investors` will stay out of too much trouble.
