Historic Tourist Railways

There are some famous Historic Tourist Railways in Australia such as Puffing Billy. Have you visited any Historic Tourist Railways?

A number of years ago I visited the Pichi Richi Railway

Pichi Richi Railway is an operating museum, operating regular heritage train journeys on the oldest remaining section of the famous narrow-gauge old Ghan railway.

Pichi Richi Railway is located at Quorn, in South Australia's Flinders Ranges. Trains depart from Quorn and Port Augusta. The railway is operated, maintained and managed by its dedicated volunteer members.

Here are some images that I took of the railway

Nice photos, you took them yourself? Smile

I helped restore one of the wagon for the Queenscliff to Drysdale tourist railway when I was a very young child. (Well, I was there while my father was busy at a Rotary working bee, but I helped!!)
