RE: Chinese New Year Festival 2007

Thanks Klaus for posting the details. The Chinese New Year festival in Thailand is a lot of fun Icon_biggrin

Quote:Lion Dance
Procession of the Golden Dragon
Sino-Thai procession by Chinese associations in Nakhon Ratchasima
“Dressed in Red” fashion show
Concerts
“Ang Pow” gifts of cash
A range of festive entertainment
Food stalls, shopping opportunities and other activities

The event in Korat sounds interesting. Klaus will you be heading into the city to watch the Lion Dance or take part in the "fashion show"? Icon_cool

I am hoping to get to Samut Songkram for the festivities Icon_lol

Children perform a lion dance in the street of China town in Manila on Friday ahead of the Chinese New Year. Chineses around the world are to celebrate the year of the pig on Sunday.

Day of the dragon :A seven-headed dragon and a nine-coloured Beijing lion provided by CAT Telecom lead a procession through Chinatown from the Odeon Circle to Ratchawong Pier in early Chinese New Year celebrations.
