What is the general idea about global warming in Europe?

Have your politicians done anything to help save the earth, or do they just talk about it like everyone else?

Guess it's less a problem of the politicians than of the market and the individual. Most pollution comes from factories. Their argument is: Production with less pollution costs a lot more. But the consumers are not willing to pay more. Should that be reason for me to reduce my profits or even go out of business - for the sake of the environment? And the argument of the private citizen is: Make the factories reduce pollution first, then I might think about saving energy in my house or drive a smaller car or even take the train . . .
