Things are quite cheap in Thailand compared to the Western World, however the average wage is obviously much lower

A factory worker or a shop assistant would get around 6,000 THB per month

A farmer would make around 4,000 THB per month

An educated person with a degree would be looking at around 8,000 +++ THB

Milk and bread are very expensive here, as they are Western Foods, rice, pork, chicken and vegetables on the other hand are very very cheap. An average meal at a market would be around 20 THB

Diesel and Pertol have increased by almost 100% over the last 2 years and the price is now sitting just under 30 THB per litre
