Hi pinoshmino

Basically to work in Thailand as a teacher you need a teachers license and a work permit. Not so hard to achieve if you have the right qualifications

Previously you just needed a degree in any subject OR a TEFL / TESL Certificate (Teaching English as a First or Second Language) to get the teachers license. Recently they changed it and require that the degree must be in the Arts and you also must have a TEFL / TESL Certificate. A TEFL / TESL Certificate can be achieved by doing a 2 month course in either Bangkok or Chaing Mai

The best place to find teaching jobs is on Ajarn.com they have hundreds of new weekly listings http://www.ajarn.com/ You will also find links to TEFL / TESL courses there

In terms of salaries, they are generally paid monthly and a foreign teacher at a language centre, public or private school would get around 30,000 to 60,000 THB per month, depending on experience. A university much more and there is also lots of private contract work teaching at banks and large companies which pay anywhere from 500 to 5000 THB per hour

The best starting place is Ajarn.com
