Bookings are now being taken for new Lufthansa direct connections from Milan. Their inclusion in the timetable allows passengers from and to northern Italy an even wider choice of flights in an expanded route network from Milan-Malpensa.

In future, eight additional intra-European destinations will come on stream: The first two to Barcelona and Paris (Charles de Gaulle) will be served from 2 February 2009. They will be joined in the flight schedules four weeks later by Brussels, Budapest, Bucharest and Madrid. London (Heathrow) and Lisbon will be added to the timetable with the start of the summer flight schedules at the end of March. The flights to all destinations will be operated by an Airbus A319, offering business and economy class and seating 138 passengers. Flight bookings can be made now on all the familiar sales channels.

Aside from the new connections, Lufthansa customers already have a vast choice of flights in the existing timetable ex Milan. From Malpensa and Linate, the airline operates a total of 185 direct connections weekly to five German destinations. Of the total, 115 of those flights are routed through Lufthansa’s hubs in Frankfurt and Munich. From there, passengers can fly with just a single stopover to more than 200 beyond destinations, worldwide.
