When it comes to a healthy breakfast, there is little to compete with cereals. This is probably why so many people make cereals a part of their first meal of the day. There are a number of reasons why people are opting for a cereal breakfast. Some have to do with taste, others are related to health considerations. If one wants to control the level of cholesterol in the body or wants to shed some excess weight, cereal breakfast can be part of the solution, providing wholesome nutrition.

Nowadays there is a wide variety of cereal-based foods. There are still some people who may have a perception that cereal breakfast is a boring one. But, that does not have to be the case. Many manufacturers of cereals already add such things as berries, fruits, raisins or nuts. These can really enhance the flavor, and they can of course always be added at the breakfast table to one`s own individual taste.
