For I think the first time in my life I was in a store the other day and saw some white tea being advertised.

Curiosity took over so I Googled `White tea` and came up with this-

Quote:Black tea has been fully fermented during processing, and green has not been fermented at all. Oolong teas are somewhere in the middle. So what is 'white tea'?

Well, just like those other teas, white tea come from the Camellia sinensis plant. But the leaves are picked and harvested before the leaves open fully, when the buds are still covered by fine white hair. Hence the name. White tea is scarcer than the other traditional teas, and quite a bit more expensive.

Anyone here drunk white tea (or is it just me led a sheltered life)? lol
"usd25.00 each, fob singapore"
Not quite sure why anyone in Thailand would want to buy chinese oolong tea and have it delivered to Singapore.
Northern Thailand has buckets of the stuff at a fraction of the price.
I have drunk white tea - it's quite rich in antioxidants. Smile

Does it taste similar to the more conventional type teas?
Pretty much - somewhere between normal tea and green tea, I suppose.
