What are we seeing happen in Thailand. When the new constitution was put into place many academics said that it gave the judiciary too much power and undermined the way the Government could operate.
This is not a critique of the judiciary the new constitution landed in their lap and they have just taken the ball and run with it. It does lead to the question, is the Judiciary either knowingly or unknowingly, staging a paper coup? It seems that sometimes the decisions are politically motivated and then sometimes they seem to not be.
The Democrats have been pushing hard since the election to try and form a government, that would be be tantamount to accepting the PAD's strange platform of government and force governance by the minority on the majority.
It's time to change the Constitution back to the 97 people's version and make the required changes to that one by a group that is selected from all facets of society. Less than 5 months into a new government and the new constitution has proven unworkable and may cause the electorate to be ruled by by the elite once more.
