1. Daily Talk Forum (DTF) Rules

1.1 While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster and hence will not be held liable.

1.2 You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the administrator, moderators and webmaster of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you enter when registering being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party, the administrator, moderators and webmaster cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.

1.3 This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you enter when registering, they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure.

1.4 The e-mail address is used for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one) and for e-mail from DTF Admin.

1.5 As a DTF Member you agree to receive our Members Newsletter, Members Updates and Breaking News Articles from time to time via your registered e-mail address.

1.6 Any members who do not respect the Rules of the Forum will be warned and in severe cases banned. The rules are here to protect all members.

1.7 No personal attacks, racial abuse or discrimination will be tolerated whatsoever.

1.8 No swearing or foul language will be tolerated.

1.9 No flaming, trolling, or aggravating of other members.

1.10 Please post using normal size font. It can be annoying to other members when a post is written in over sized print or all capitals or all in bold or in different colours. The use of these features has its place, but should be used with discretion.

1.11 Members may display a 120 x 120 avatar. We have many to choose from in our avatar gallery or you may upload or link to your own.

1.12 No e-currency exchange posts are permitted.

1.13 e-mail addresses can't be used as user names.

1.14 Website URLs can't be used as user names.

1.15 e-currency account numbers can't be used as user names.

1.16 Only Gold and Diamond members may have a signature. To upgrade your account please visit our Membership Page. Signatures with text and links are permitted, however banner or image signatures are not allowed. Please use normal font in your signatures, with no more than 3 links. Any member found to be attempting to circumvent this rule by faking a signature will be banned.

1.17 Links to x rated, immoral or unsavory sites are not permitted.

1.18 No referral links are permitted, except in signatures.

1.19 No spamming of ads or referral links via PMs or posts. Any member found to be using PM to spam other members to solicit an exchange, program or site will be immediately banned.

1.20 No asking other members to check out your own signature links.

1.21 No script sales are permitted.

1.22 Members may post a maximum of 5 images per post. Images should not be overly large and should be a reasonable file size. Any images that take ages to download will be deleted. Advertising banners or images are not allowed in posts.

1.23 If a program or website is worth advertising, it should be worth discussing. Members are encouraged to post a discussion thread for a program or website. Seek an appropriate folder to open a discussion thread. If you can't find one, give it your best shot and open a thread where it seems fitting, or rethink whether or not the program or website is appropriate for this community. If you are uncertain about either, feel free to contact an Admin or Mod.

1.24 Any ponzis will immediately deleted and the member banned.

1.25 Anyone posting useless posts that do not contribute to the value of the forum will be warned or banned.

1.26 The use of all capitals in post titles is not permitted.

1.27 Website URLs in post titles is not permitted.

1.28 You agree to only use this forum for lawful purposes. This means you cannot transmit, store or present any data or material that is in violation of any United States laws or Local laws in your area.

Examples of illegal content include

* Pirated software
* Hackers programs or archives
* Warez sites
* Material protected by trade secrets
* Copyrighted material
* Harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, racist, and hateful content
* Exploitation of children or links to same
* Promotion of illegal activities

Members are permitted to post news articles in the correct folders however to stay within fair use copyright you are allowed to only post a brief summary of the news article. Generally the first paragraph or sentence is the maximum amount of text you are allowed to post under fair use laws. The summary must also have a link back to the original news article

You are not permitted to reproduce the news article in full. You are also not permitted to edit the title, summary, sentence or paragraph which came from the original news article
