I better get out more, or surf more. I haven't even heard of a lot of those. AOFT.lukamar.ca (3,337,969) is the old AOFT forum so the rank isn't all that bad considering there isn't a forum anymore...

You can always say that is caused by the screwed up way Alexa counts. All visitors via AIS or DTAC or IPSTAR on one day are counted as one visitor each. Their activities are separated as "Page Views per user" (The number of unique pages viewed per user per day for this site) giving Korat-Info for example an average of 91.9 daily page views per user this last week (70.9 over last three months)
And since only unique pages visited from those providers are counted by Alexa the fact that at least 40 % of the hits coming from those providers the Alexa traffic rank is not only near meaningless for Korat-Info. Most of the farangs in Isaan and Korat have no other means of connecting to the internet than those three providers.
Webstats show an average of about 600 different sites online per day. Absolute peak was 1060 the day Christopher Neil was arrested in Korat. The Seagames in Korat might have contributed in the last weeks a lot too.

Like I said above visitors via some providers don't get counted as individual visitors of the site but as visitors of a page only by Alexa. Netcraft counts more representative.
Then you gotta look at which forums (by content) count higher on which. All the Pattaya or nightlife forums score higher on Alexa and lower on Netcraft. All the forums with a higher standard score higher on Netcraft and lower on Alexa.
Next look at the purposes of running the toolbars. Netcraft (anti-phishing) toolbar for security. Alexa for statistical reasons (more or less just playing) mainly.
Last not least Alexa covers a time frame of three months only, while Netcraft calculates the site rank from 'first seen' till now. Alexa counts the traffic for the whole domain, while Netcraft counts it for every subdomain separately. You might have noticed that there are more results from Netcraft than Alexa. For the simple reason that the rank of a company that runs thousands of sites on subdomains is not valid for each of the subdomains.
BTW your redirect
http://www.aoft.org scores 2,991,066 on Netcraft. 3,337,969 on Alexa.
Hi Klaus are you planning to do this exercise again this year, it would be interesting to see how they now rank

By the end of the year, yes! Just hold your patience for five weeks or so.
