Thai footballer to join ManCity

BANGKOK, Aug 30 (TNA) - Thailand's national football player Suree Sukha became the first Thai player readied to join England's football squad Manchester City, while other Thai players are speculated to soon follow in his footsteps, according to legal adviser to former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who has taken over the English Premier League football club.

Mr. Suree, a full back for the Thai national team, would be granted a work permit in England so that he could play alongside the likes of Ronaldo Bianchi, Richard Dunne and Micah Richards in the ManCity
squad which currently ranked second in the Premier League table, according to attorney Noppadol Pattama.

Accompanying the full back to the Eastlands for training were a forward and a center back from the Thai national team.

The Thaksin attorney sidestepped questions about the FIFA ranking of the Thai national team which currently ranks below 70 among over one hundred world football teams -- the status which may deny the Thai boy the chance to join Sven Goran Eriksson's squad.

Mr. Noppadol, who spoke with the ManCity owner on an overseas telephone call, dismissed criticisms that the picking of the Thai football players by the English Premier League club was merely aimed to retain popularity for the club's new owner, Mr. Thaksin, among the Thai people.

He added Man City might probably join an Asian football tournament and play a side in Thailand but declined to tell whether or not the ManCity club owner will accompany his players to this country.

Good for Suree Sukha , I saw some his matches and recognized that he is a talented defender  However , maybe Eriksson just let him play when the score was definited !
